Dr Sim is a fellowship trained Orthopaedic surgeon based in Adelaide, South Australia. He specialises in managing sports injuries of the shoulder, knee and ankle in adults and adolescents. His minimally invasive "keyhole" arthroscopic surgical approach gives patients a quicker recovery and return to sports and their active lifestyle. He is passionate about incorporating biological therapies including platelet rich plasma (PRP) to help his patients recover from their sports injuries.
Dr Sim is a graduate of the University of Adelaide (MBBS) and completed his Orthopaedic surgical training in Adelaide, attaining Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA). Following this, he travelled to Canada to complete a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the prestigious Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Centre (London, Ontario). He gained extensive experience in treating various types of sports injuries in world and Olympic class athletes at this multi-disciplinary centre of excellence. During this time, he also had the opportunity to attend workshops, courses and visitations in North America with internationally recognised surgeons in the field of Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. Dr Sim is the clinical lead for the only Sports Injuries Clinic in the public hospital system of South Australia. He works closely with Sports Physicians, Physiotherapists and Orthopaedic Surgeons to provide a comprehensive management of all Orthopaedic sports injuries |
