Iswadi Damasena is an Australian trained orthopaedic surgeon, who obtained his fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in 2017. He completed post graduate fellowship training in knee surgery at the prestigious Orthosport Victoria practice in Melbourne, then went on to complete a complex knee fellowship in the United Kingdom focusing on cartilage and meniscal restorative surgery, anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and osteotomy.
Dr Damasena has subspecialty interest in both hip and knee replacement as well as trauma. He treats both adults and children. Dr Damasena has public and private hospital appointments in metropolitan Victoria and engages in regular teaching activities of both medical students and junior doctors, as well as orthopaedic trainees. He has published multiple peer reviewed papers on both hip and knee surgery, and continues to undertake research to further orthopaedic science and improve patient outcomes. He regularly undertakes speaking appointments both nationally and internationally. Dr Damasena's aim is to provide his patients with the best possible care whilst involving his patients in the decision making process every step of the way.
